JAMMIN IN JUNE!

I don’t know about you but we’ve been very busy here at Interaction HQ and I cannot believe that we are nearly half way through 2024!

June is JAM PACKED too and we love it! - as well as running development programmes for our clients as usual we are putting on some special events this month.

First up - we’re really excited about tomorrow 6 June at The Shard in London with our Talent Forum. Once a year we try to roll out the red carpet for this incredibly supportive group of L&D professionals. The session at the Shard this year is around ‘supercharging your managers for success’, as well as bringing people together to network and do the all important ‘IRL’ thing!

We’ll catch you up on how the day went soon. As ever, if you aren’t aware of our award-winning Talent Forum please join us!

We also have a great collaboration later in the month with Babbasa CIC - an exciting opportunity for us to give back and support disadvantaged young people transitioning from school or university to the hybrid workplace. We’ll be delivering a free business readiness workshop designed specifically for young people in Bristol to raise their awareness of the expectations of the modern workplace.

We’re really proud to be involved in this project - it’s a first for us and it definitely won’t be the last. If you know a young person that would benefit from this, please get in touch and we’ll share the detail.

And onwards to 20th June! Another Talent Forum special awaits. ‘Ready. Set. Grow!’ webinar.

According to the 2024 ISE Student Development survey, half of employers said that their graduates are not career ready at the point of hire, with similarly high numbers for school and college leavers. The data suggests that early careers are starting out without all the skills that they need to navigate today’s hybrid workplace successfully.

Join our Learning Consultant Daniel Yuki Smith, and Camille Charles, Development Advisor at IMI plc as they share not just the WHY but the HOW of ‘business readiness’. They’ll discuss how to prepare early-career professionals for today’s hybrid workplace. Camille will share first hand how her graduates are performing after taking part in Interaction’s Business Readiness workshop.

This is not just about understanding the dos and don’ts of working in organisations, but critically it’s about the organisations themselves creating a psychologically safe environment. Why? Because this encourages young people and their managers to open up and share their expectations of each other and ‘speak the same language’.

The live webinar includes a short presentation followed by an open forum discussion and will be hosted by the Talent Forum so if you’re a member look out for details soon! All L&D professionals can sign up here - a virtual Zoom call at 10am on 20 June.

So that wraps up June for Interaction HQ! Busyness is a good thing in business!

Here’s to part two of 2024.
