Is the Great Wall of China visible from outer space?
As someone who works with people to help them make more effective decisions, I was really surprised by how large the gap between perception and reality lay when measuring some of the more fundamental aspects of life – happiness – for example.

TURNING JAPANESE? … I REALLY THINK SO!
We end our working year at Interaction in a really positive and thankful way - we are very fortunate, as a small team to be able to pack up the flip chart, crafts, brown paper and glue sticks and spend a day in a fabulous Gloucestershire location. It’s a great time to reflect, share our highs and lows, throw some creative things on brown paper, and generally look back on our achievements, successes and hopes for the following year….

Working up to it: how do I feel about a hybrid world as a new starter?
I had the pleasure of working with Cadent’s Early Talent population last week to help equip them with the skills, knowledge and behaviours to hit the ground running in their first week at work.
The party’s over … and the real work starts here.
In recent years the pathway to success has been influenced by Covid times and most early talent has had no choice but to adapt to a virtual (or hybrid) working world. Not a ‘technical’ problem for these digital natives, but it has definitely created a knock on social, relationship and knowledge acquisition problem…
Employee wellbeing - is it an organisational issue?
When it comes to improving your well-being at work, small habits make a big difference—if you practise them consistently. Here are six to prioritise in your daily work-life.
FOR THE LOVE OF SELF CARE!
“Here is Edward Bear, coming downstairs now, bump, bump, bump, on the back of his head, behind Christopher Robin. It is, as far as he knows, the only way of coming downstairs, but sometimes he feels that there really is another way, if only he could stop bumping for a moment and think of it. And then he feels that perhaps there isn't.”

Early talent – setting them up for success or failure in our new hybrid world?
Getting off on the right foot, getting to know people and getting on at work in general is much more challenging than ever before in today’s hybrid workplaces. But what do we need to know and how can we help?
ARE YOU LOST IN LEADERSHIP?
It’s hard to navigate your way through sometimes - easy to get lost in the overload of ‘noise’ from social media, organisational demands and the pressure placed upon us to be everything to everyone. When you are leader in an organisation it can feel particularly challenging, you need to balance getting the job done, managing your team, and looking after yourself. Sometimes the thing that gets the least attention is you …
EVERY WEEK SHOULD BE MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK!
For the past 25 years I have been on quite a journey with my mental health - so many ups and downs maybe Alton Towers should name a rollercoaster after me!
The Power of Vulnerability.
There’s so much positive noise around about authenticity, honesty, and vulnerability in the workplace that sometimes as a leader it’s hard to find a path through and feel like you are living up to expectations …
meet willow our therapy dog...
Five years ago we contemplated getting a dog to help our daughter who was really struggling at school; we took the risk and so began the roller coaster … she is now a Therapy dog and we could not be more proud of her!
Grief is just love with nowhere to go
Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go – Jamie Anderson
On the 23 March, the UK celebrates a National Day of Reflection to remember those who have died and support those who are grieving – a day to connect as humans.
